A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Our experience was so good. The food, atmosphere, service was so great. My turkish boyfriend loved everything and mentioned it tastes close to hone back in turkey. Meanwhile for me it was my first time trying out turkish food and i would say it left a good impression on me. Shout out to out server Tirta for always accommodating us and for being attentive when we needed anything. He even let us taste iran to see if we like it first before ordering. Overall would recommend. ;)"
"Chance upon this Turkish restaurant and decided to have our late lunch here. Once entered, we are greeted by welcoming staffs. Food is delicious, the dips and kebabs are yummy. I personally like the bread with the dips. Glad we made the right choice."
"Sumak is such a beautiful surprise in the heart of Kayu Aya. The moment you step in, the space feels warm, inviting, and full of that Mediterranean charm. The food is truly the star — rich flavors, fresh ingredients, and dishes that taste like they’re made with real love and tradition. The mezze platter is a must-try: creamy, vibrant, and packed with authentic Turkish flavors. Their grilled meats are tender and perfectly seasoned, and the bread… soft, warm, and addictive. Every dish comes out beautifully presented without trying too hard. Service is wonderful too — friendly, attentive, and happy to explain the menu. You can feel the pride in what they serve. Whether you come for a cozy dinner or a special night out, Sumak delivers that comforting, home-style Turkish feeling with a refined touch. A gem in Seminyak — I’ll definitely be back."
"I visited this Turkish cuisine restaurant located in the Seminyak area in Bali. Upon entering, I was asked if I had a reservation, and unfortunately I wasn’t aware that it is better to book in advance. However, I was still warmly welcomed along with my family and a table was arranged for us, and it became clear to me as I walked in that the place was fully packed with customers. As soon as we were seated, the staff noticed my child and immediately offered a coloring kit and papers to entertain him, which was a very nice gesture and a positive first impression. Now coming to the dishes I ordered: • Mutabbal: Excellent texture and flavor, with the smokiness of the eggplant and tahini standing out beautifully. I only wished it had been served with some olive oil on top. • Lahmacun: Absolutely outstanding — it genuinely felt like I was enjoying it in one of the specialized restaurants in Istanbul’s Fatih district. Very delicious and especially perfect with a squeeze of lemon. • Mixed Grill Platter: The platter included a variety of items such as grilled chicken wings, beef cubes, chicken skewers, and kofta, served with a small portion of bulgur and two pieces of lahmacun on the side. My overall rating is that it was tasty, tender, and well-seasoned with lovely spices. Overall, the restaurant exceeded my expectations and truly deserves the level of crowd and popularity it has."
"Located on the main street The menu is quite extensive, offering a wide variety of dishes though its slightly on the expensive side, it definitely looked promising. We decided to go for their platter, as it included a nice selection of their signature dishes. The food overall was decent, though a few kebab pieces could have been cooked a bit more, and the rice could have been slightly more flavorful. That said, the presentation was good and the staff were extremely courteous and attentive, which made the dining experience pleasant overall."
"Excellent Turkish cuisine located in Seminyak. I had : - Adan Kabab x2 skewers which was great with sumac - Garlic yoghurt with cucumber was good but small portion but totally good. - Staff very welcomed and friendly (Chris) and atmosphere is cool. Totally Recommended."
"We had a great dinner with my family and my friends before we going back to Turkiye. Thanks Kemal and Yuni for their hospitality and their great effort to make as very comfortable. Love you Bali hope to meet you soon"
"Tried Sumak Turkish Restaurant and really enjoyed it. The service was very fast and the menu has a lot of interesting options. We ordered the pide, a meze platter, and a salad. everything came quickly and tasted fresh. The ambience is nice and the vibe is relaxed. Special shout-out to one of the staff (sorry I forgot your name!) who was super friendly and talkative. He even decided my name is Kim, so now I guess I have a new name . Service beautiful! Definitely worth visiting in Seminyak if you want to try some Turkish / Middle Eastern food."
